Psychotherapy FAQ
Confidentiality, Safe Environment Solution-oriented...
What is Confidentiality?
Confidentiality in therapy means that it is my duty to protect the identify of my clients. It is also means that legally I am not allowed to report anything that is mentioned in therapy by my clients. There are limitations to confidentiality, such as if a client reports any plans to physically hurt themselves or others, or if the client is a minor and reports that someone is abusing them.
What to expect from therapy sessions?
My clients can expect a safe environment, where they will be heard without judgment. Clients should also expect to come in ready to work on their goals, and to implement new coping skills into their daily lives.
Do you take Insurance?
Yes, I am partnered with a company called Headway, which handles all my billing and insurance claims. When you go to book an appointment with me, it takes you to my headway profile where you can create an account and then pick a time slot that fits your schedule.
Is telehealth secure?
Yes, telehealth platforms such as Zoom are secure. Also, you can rest assured that I am alone during therapy sessions, and no one will be able to hear our conversations.
